Sleeping accomodations are scarce on America's railroad. Most passengers must make do with upright seating. No wonder long-haul routes are unprofitable for Amtrak. There are other sleeping-centered works to be seen. Series Description: Scenes from my vacations aboard the Sunset Limited, Coast Starlight, California Zephyr, Empire Builder, Cardinal, etc. Destinations included the Bahamas, the Olympic Peninsula, and Cape Hatteras. LA Union Station was often my starting point.
