The condo board member responsible for the slaughter brought new meaning to the word tyrant. To protect her Land Rover from the occasional falling palm frond, she diverted common funds towards the termination of two innocent trees. They thrived for decades, until she arrived.
The "tree service" people who came to do the dirty work are in a loathsome business. If I were under their employ, I'd quit immediately if ordered to kill a tree for no good reason.
