It's surprising how stiff and upright the lotus can be. Its starchy root is very good eating. Series Description: Often, men send flowers to me; sometimes, flower delivery is courtesy of my son on birthdays & holidays; rarely, I'll drop into the florist myself. But flower shops pale in comparison to open fields blooming on their own. Regardless of source, I consider flowers to be the premier gift for women.
