Lilly Library -- two 17th century marble lions guard the Thomas room. Stone sculptures like these are durable forms of entertainment. For centuries, even millennia, people will enjoy looking at them, as well as utilizing them for practical purposes, e.g. as door-stops here. My garden could use a few stone sculptures...
