The wind at my back was prodigious. Simultaneously, the turbines were whirling, the balloons were progressing at a rapid clip, and even my car was pushed for miles at 70 mph in neutral, uphill at times along I-10 East. The force of atmospheric pressure gradients here is admirable.
The Bob Hope desert classic golf tournament was going on at the time.
