I was a favorite nanny of his two lovely children briefly. Among other things, I taught them how to paint, make bird calls, sing, run through redwood forests, collect bouquets for their mother, and how to attract California Quails with unwanted breakfast oatmeal. He had a lawyer in Santa Monica named Walter King. This judicial system participant was quite advanced in years, and his driving was frighteningly substandard. On one occasion, he ran over my son's foot and dragged his friend through a cacti patch without even knowing it! Afterwards, my son forbade me from ever driving with him. Nevertheless, I admired his wittiness and intelligence. A real gentleman, he always kept champagne chilled for unexpected guests.
